I hope you all are in a good condition today, regarding the weather have been bad everywhere. Recently I have posted too many decent food and I start to think that soon people will forget that I am a stingy man... wait, I mean I run my frugal live.
Initially this post is meant for Pic a Day community, however recently I received feedback about my activity there. Well sometime I feel it is hard to have fun on Hive, there will always be some people who dislike what we do, regardless wright or wrong.
Ok this was my lunch, it was Nasi Padang with Ayam Balado. Ayam balado means chicken with red chili paste. I like chicken dish, I can eat almost all chicken dishes except the one that come with super sweet taste.
We have one originated from Java, It is called Ayam Semur. Ayam semur is chicken stew with sweet soy sauce. I can not eat that one, always drive me to puke.
ok lets get back to my dish. On the right side you can see chicken drumstick with some chili paste on top of it. On the back you can see white rice with some curry sauce. On the left what you see is actually a boiled cassava leaves with a green chili paste.
This dish costed me less than a dollar, actually it was 0.95 USD. It was not easy to get any lunch like this below a dollar, especially in urban area. Well you could get it if you change the chicken with some eggs.
I think that's for today one dollar meal saga. Recently I do not eat budget food regarding of the nasty weather we have in the last few weeks. It is not wise to save up on your meals if you know you have high risk of getting sick from it. In this case, I need to push up my intake, by volume and by nutrition.
Ok that's my post today, feel free to leave any comments below. If you want to ask some challenge about what food I should get, be my guess... I am gladly welcome it.
