Planning To Plant Eggplants

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY5 days ago

Today, I bought eggplant seeds. The price was quite expensive—5,000 IDR for four small packs. Each pack contains only seven to eight seeds. I didn’t expect seeds to cost so much, but I’m still excited to start planting soon.

I believe the seeds are of great quality. I should start by sowing them first, then prepare the land. Proper preparation will help ensure healthy growth and a successful eggplant harvest later.

I don’t have personal land, but I plan to use a public area—a border strip next to the drainage. The land is often overrun with weeds that bother us. Instead of letting the weeds grow wild, I’ve decided to plant eggplants there. It’s a way to make better use of the space and be productive.

I have cultivated the land and enriched it using chicken feces along with other organic fertilizers. This natural approach will improve soil health and support the healthy growth of my eggplants in the coming weeks.

I need a few more days to adjust the land structure and pH to suit eggplants. I've been learning how to plant them through YouTube and articles. Eggplants are relatively easy to grow because most of the soil here is naturally suitable, and the area receives plenty of rich sunlight, which supports healthy plant development.

Instead of planting chili, I chose eggplants because they’re easier to grow. Chili plants need special care, and I’ve failed in the past. This time, I want a better chance at success.
What do you suggest to start planting? 🍆🍆🍆

Interesting. I thought chilli is easiest, because it needs only water, eggplant needs more sun and water to grow big, but that's just my experience.
Please vote for the new Ecency Proposal.

Yeah at first, but when the plant wants to bear fruits the leaves because Curly.. I got stressful that time

Whoa, there's really just a few seeds in it. With that much, i'm curious homw many seeds will actually bloom. Good luck on it. I hope you grow them successfully.

Thanks, there are only 7 to 8 seeds

True, seeds nowadays are getting costly, when a decade ago you could just ask for seeds from the neighborhood. There are still free seeds nowadays, you only have to approach the agriculture office in your area. It is really good to grow your own vegetables, it is fresher and safer, free from synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. May your seeds grow well and bear many fruits.

The seeds are expensive because they are produced by farm industy

That strip of land will become productive as you also plan to plant some eggplants in there. Also, it will be taken cared of so no more weeds in that area. I didn't know that it's easy to grow eggplants so they are the perfect choice to plant and grow. Eggplant omelet is one of our traditional dishes here and also one of my favorites. Good luck with your gardening plans!

Eggplants omelete ..sounds good.. eggplants are cooked with red chilli sauce is common here

It's great how you have the initiative to make a land that is ignored and full of weeds be cleaned and prepared for eggplant planting. I do wish you will succeed in your planting project this time. And don't forget to keep us posted with your plants. It'd be nice to see them grow. 🌱
