Today, I bought eggplant seeds. The price was quite expensive—5,000 IDR for four small packs. Each pack contains only seven to eight seeds. I didn’t expect seeds to cost so much, but I’m still excited to start planting soon.
I believe the seeds are of great quality. I should start by sowing them first, then prepare the land. Proper preparation will help ensure healthy growth and a successful eggplant harvest later.
I don’t have personal land, but I plan to use a public area—a border strip next to the drainage. The land is often overrun with weeds that bother us. Instead of letting the weeds grow wild, I’ve decided to plant eggplants there. It’s a way to make better use of the space and be productive.
I have cultivated the land and enriched it using chicken feces along with other organic fertilizers. This natural approach will improve soil health and support the healthy growth of my eggplants in the coming weeks.
I need a few more days to adjust the land structure and pH to suit eggplants. I've been learning how to plant them through YouTube and articles. Eggplants are relatively easy to grow because most of the soil here is naturally suitable, and the area receives plenty of rich sunlight, which supports healthy plant development.
Instead of planting chili, I chose eggplants because they’re easier to grow. Chili plants need special care, and I’ve failed in the past. This time, I want a better chance at success.
What do you suggest to start planting? 🍆🍆🍆
