Kamusta, everyone! Sunday is usually a family day and at the same time when most do their grocery shopping. I've been exhausted from a trip last month so I took my time to rest and didn't join my brother on our usual grocery day. My cupboard is already running empty so I have no choice but to drag my tired body out to the mall on a Sunday.
The first thing I look for when I enter the mall was the pushcart area. This is my indicator of the crowd volume inside the grocery. More carts parked, less people. Less carts parked, more people shopping. And as expected, the cart area was empty. Not a single cart available. Yikes! Good thing I still have other errands to do before heading inside the grocery.

After paying bills and going to the pharmacy, I went back to the pushcart area and was lucky to see a few carts parked. I quickly took one as people were beginning to swarm around the few remaining carts.
I've lost track of my usual shopping routine due to the huge crowd and just went on random aisles and grabbed the things I need. My biggest concern that day were the chicken fillet and a specific type of milk because they run out fast.
But alas! There were still plenty of those items I was worrying about. However, I didn't expect tofu to run out so quickly that day. Since I won't be able to make tofu meals this month, I replaced it with milk fish.

So here I am resting a bit after getting all the vegetables and fruits I need. It's quite sad that some of the fresh produce sold in the grocery recently aren't really fresh. The eggplants I bought got rotten in just a few days. Wet market is definitely the best choice if you want fresh vegetables. But I also dislike going to many places. If I could buy all the things I nedd at one place then I would prefer it that way.

I wasn't able to buy all the items on my list as they were out of stock. Maybe I'll try next time when I buy ingredients for some foods I'm making.
As you can see here, there's quite a long line in all of the cashier lanes but it also looks bearable. It was already late afternoon and maybe most who went shopping were already done by the time I have to pay.

I scanned on the right side of the cashier lanes and found a lane with less carts lined up. Lucky!

The line was moving quite fast because I'm only one cart away fifteen minutes later. Oh, I also bought some triple A batteries in case my keyboard and remotes I use suddenly run out of power. It's better to have extra batteries ready to avoid inconveniences in the future.

Of course, after grocery shopping I went to buy my dinner. I was craving for fried chicken so I went to KFC. I was supposed to purchase the famous bowl set meal but I was told that it was unavailable when I was about to pay at the counter. The crew suggested this meal instead. Fried chicken with mashed potato, and mushroom soup. There was a lot of liquid on my meal. Lol. And I have to agree that peeling off the seal on each KFC container was a big struggle!
And that's how my grocery day went. I spent more this time than last month as I have more items to replenish. Prices keep getting higher, such a pain especially for families. Anyway, have a nice day and I hope we get to eat nutritious foods everyday!
Thanks for reading! 💚
