It's almost weekend again. I hope whatever you are accomplishing this week gets done. As for me, I'm about halfway of my tasks. If my lazybones don't activate then I just might tick all the boxes.

From Christmas, of course, we also don't miss visiting our mama on New Year.

As usual, we first set up the chairs and tables and laid the foods. Oh, I didn't forget to bring mama's photo this time! Whew!
I used the same technique of arranging the foods on the plates and covering it with cling wrap. It might take longer to prepare but it's a lot more convenient when we get to the cemetery. No extra containers to place on table and nothing to wash after.

We placed mama's flowers, foods, candle, and drink next. I already ran out of paper plates and styrofoam cups so I used what's available. The cups I'm using were still actually from the unused cups that were bought for her 40th day after death.

I haven't taken a photo of our plates without the covers. I was too occupied with lighting the sparklers. Lol. I told my brother to come early, at least before sunrise, but he arrive quite late and the sun was already up. Good thing, the lights were still visible in the daylight.
The foods here were just the same as my foods during my new year's eve celebration: pizza, ham, queso de bola, and puto cake.

We lighted the sparklers before eating and greeted our mama a happy new year. These cheap sparklers only have four sticks per box. Last year, it was six stick per box. Dang, inflation. Lol. We lighted two sticks each first then called our sister to let her see as we lighted the rest of the remaining sparklers.

My brother was insisting that we light the sparklers with a lighter but told him this was easier.

Of course, I also made the salad that I had during new year's eve. My brother was amazed and took a photo of it. Haha. The dressing was just improvised but I think liked it as well.

And the fruit jello. I made a smaller version which I would bring to the cemetery. This is 4 inches, just enough for the three of us. I placed a new year topper for the new year vibe! My brother liked it especially the cherries.

We also found a flowershop which sells cheaper potted flowers. It's just as beautiful as the flowers at the usual store we buy from.
I hope our mama is smiling and celebrating with us above. :)
