Rest Day Sunday and Resizing the Cake Box

Hello! Beautiful Sunday, everyone! Christmas week is over and now we look forward to New Year's Day this coming week.

Today, I only did light chores due to my body feeling exhausted from our activities yesterday. I also had a long conversation with my sister late at night as we talked about the meet up I went to. We were both gushing over the pictures I sent her. Lol.

I feel so tired that I want to sleep all day. All I did was throw some trash that had piled up in my room, watered the plants, and cleaned the sink at the laundry area to lessen the work when I do my laundry tomorrow.

I also ate light foods for breakfast: carrot salad, vinegar cucumber salad, and paired it with ginger tea. The carrot salad looks little on the photo because I already ate more than half of the serving when I remembered to take a photo. Hehe! My mother used to make carrot salad with lettuce for our breakfast dessert every single day. It's due to her that I learned to enjoy eating carrot.

I made the cucumber salad two days ago. I'm glad the cucumber is still crunchy after being soaked in vinegar. I learned to make cucumber salad from my sister. She used to make it when I was little. I like cucumber salad especially the vinegar, but it's acidic so I make sure to drink water right after to prevent causing damage to the teeth.

Well, I don't have much photo to share today as I am resting. But here's the leftover roll cake from Christmas. I cut the box after consuming a few slices so it would fit in the fridge.

This is how long the roll cake was before. Lol. Do you do this too? I think I can finish consuming all of it until New Year's Day.

I really appreciate my quiet surroundings today because it's helping me to rest and relax my mind. Going out during holidays is really stressful, from road traffic to the large crowds at the mall.

I never tasted carrot salad before and it looks like very delicious. That kind of foods are truly delicious and nutritious. ☺

Thank you! The taste becomes because of mayo and mustard sauce. 😄

The food looks really healthy and interesting because I never seen such carrot salad before.

Holiday season is full of food, excitement and happiness! Purple cake is the favorite one of my daughter.

Haha, resizing the cake box is such a relatable move! We’ve all been there, trying to play Tetris with the fridge shelves after a big holiday meal. That roll cake looks delicious enough to definitely last until New Year's Day!
