Sunset is perhaps the main performance that nature stages every evening. But when the sky is clear, the prologue can feel almost too plain. Still, there's room for experimentation.
Out on the pier, everyone plays the director of their own scene. Someone freezes between loungers and umbrellas, phone in hand, trying to capture the perfect shot — yet inevitably losing their details, turning into nothing but a shape.

The irony is that in the sun's light, you begin to fade yourself. At some point, everything turns to scenery for its quiet exit.

For me, this mise-en-scène is a way to see the sunset reduced to light and shadow: a little drama, a little mystery, and a lot of contrast.

Light draws attention. Shadows let you disappear. This is my Sunset Noir.
