This town pulsates, transforms street by street, as if each corner you turn turns into a different chapter of a complex and everyday book in unison...You can find smiles in one street, or abandonment and loneliness in another... It is a changing town, with absolute silences occurring just a few meters away from intermingled noises... Sometimes I have the feeling that I invent all this in my head and then I have the strange power of photographing it... "I think, therefore I am (Cogito, ergo sum)" is something that comes to my mind, but in my case it is something more metaphysical than what Descartes meant by this, as if I myself were part of these streets and was existing here as a consequence of my own thoughts...

Este pueblo pulsa, se transforma calle a calle, como si cada esquina en la que uno dobla se pasase a un capítulo distinto...Lo mismo puede uno encontrar sonrisas en una calle, que abandono y soledad en otra... Es un pueblo cambiante, con silencios absolutos ocurriendo a pocos metros de ruidos entremezclados... Algunas veces yo tengo la sensación de que invento todo esto en mi cabeza y luego tengo el extraño poder de fotografiarlo... "Pienso, luego existo (Cogito, ergo sum)" es algo lo cual se me viene a la cabeza, pero en mi caso es algo más metafísico que lo que quería decir Descartes con esto, como si yo mismo fuera parte de estas calles y estuviese existiendo aquí a consecuencia de mis propios pensamientos...

These photographs are a compilation of my recent archives and I have tried to make a fairly heterogeneous selection, because I wanted to highlight that kind of unpredictable diversity that this handful of streets of my town have, to which I referred to at the beginning of this post... I think that everything has to do with the shortages and that kind of chaos with which people live here, then that results in an uneven evolution of life here and the activities of the people who still remain trying to move forward in this place...

Estas fotografías son un recuento de mis archivos recientes y he procurado hacer una selección bastante heterogénea, porque he querido resaltar esa especie de diversidad impredecible que tienen este puñado de calles de mi pueblo, a la cual hice referencia al comienzo de este posto... Pienso que todo tiene que ver con las carencias y esa especie de caos con los cuales se vive aquí, entonces eso redunda en una evolución dispareja de la vida aquí y de las actividades de las personas que aún permanecemos intentando seguir adelante en este lugar...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
