So today my apostle says so many people endure God that they're not actually enjoying him.
Our Bible tells me that Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
What I've come to notice is that anything that you do always feels like a job or a chore when you don't enjoy it. Whether it's a friendship, a hobby, a talent, a platform, a ministry, a relationship, a marriage.
And I think this stems from lack of gratitude and where your focus is. If you're so focused on what you lose when you come to Christ, the fact that you can't do certain things or go certain places anymore, or the fact that you've had to cut off certain things and God has removed certain things from your life when he literally has your best interest at heart.
You can't focus on the peace that you've gained, the joy that you've gained, the love that you've gained. You might have been sad, but you've gained this peace that the world cannot take away.
He's freed you from addictions. He's literally delivered your mind from ways of thinking that kept you bound for generational cycles. Not to mention the fact that you inherit a turtle life. Literally get to live forever with Jesus.
Your relationship with God is a choice and a sacrifice that you made because you knew the value of having him in your life. And you decided to receive and accept the love that he has for you in every way, shape, or form.
I want you to take a moment to write down everything that you've gained from your relationship with God. Everything that you've learned about yourself and learned about his love for you.
I want you to notice how great the value is of that versus anything in this world that you could have gained. Because what good is it to gain the whole world and lose your own soul?
