I don't think people understand how big a part God plays in everything.
I just want us to remember that the proof that God lives on the inside of you, that you're a new creation in Christ and that he's changed you, is that you have unselfish concern continuously for others.
1 John 4 and 8 tells us that God is love, right?
It also tells us that the first fruit of the Spirit is love, the constant act of unselfish concern towards others.
One translation says that love is an enduring attribute of God's nature. And because he is the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega, he will be that for the end of time.
Because he transcends time, he lives outside of it, he created it. And a lot of times we fail to realize that love is a verb, not a noun. We know that a verb is literally an action word.
So when somebody says, I love you, or you say, I love you to somebody, you're saying that I am constantly showing unselfish concern towards you. I'm constantly loving you. It's not just that I love you right now, but I don't love you later. I love you, meaning it's a continual state of action.
And it's the way that God is all in that because he literally is love. It's who he is. He doesn't begin, he doesn't end, he doesn't change.
