For any company, profit margin is imprtant to keep it running and probably this advertisement is just one of the streams to earn revenue. Only ads can not make open ai profitable but a way to earn some revenue through free users.

        Agree, it's important to have a lot of revenue streams. However doing so could make them lose some users, because they'll start showing ads even to the paid GO subscription...

              Yeah. That makes (a lot of) sense.

              I just think ADS is a tiny piece of the whole iceberg.
