The latest data on the situation created by this conflict are alarming. It appears that this situation has caused over 11 million displaced people and 30 million people to face food insecurity. The town of El Fasher was recently captured by the RSF, resulting in massacres of civilians and children. The conflict in Sudan broke out on April 15, 2023, and arose from a power struggle between two military factions. The main cause is the failed transition to democracy.

Conclusions: -1- What's coming out of Sudan is a very ugly story that gives us pause for thought in 2025. When democracy fails or fails to develop, conflicts can be devastating. -2- In my opinion, Trump isn't fully accomplishing what he intended. This shutdown issue is over, but in my opinion, it has shown that things aren't going very well for the US. Personal opinion. -3- Generative artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly popular. I see it being discussed even in my work environment. I believe it will spread like the internet did, perhaps even faster. -4- This news about Saudi Aramco now focusing on natural gas makes me think that industry, the world's driving force, will pollute a little less in the future.

Sudan: crisi umanitaria senza precedenti
In Sudan è in atto un conflitto tra tra l’esercito sudanese (SAF) e le Forze di Supporto Rapido (RSF). Gli ultimi dati relativi alla situazione che si è generata a causa di questo conflitto sono allarmanti. Sembra che questa situazione abbia causato oltre 11 milioni di sfollati e 30 milioni di persone in insicurezza alimentare. La città di El Fasher è stata recentemente conquistata dalle RSF, con massacri di civili e bambini. Trump chiude lo shutdown USA
Dopo settimane di blocco, il presidente Trump ha firmato la legge che pone fine allo shutdown più lungo della storia americana, evitando ulteriori danni economici. Lo shutdown è la chiusura temporanea delle attività del governo federale degli Stati Uniti quando il Congresso non approva il bilancio o i fondi necessari per finanziare le agenzie governative. Sostanzialmente questo significa che il governo non può spendere soldi oltre a quelli già autorizzati e avviene quando c’è stallo politico tra Congresso e Presidente sul bilancio federale. Saudi Aramco punta sul gas naturale
Il colosso petrolifero dell’Arabia Saudita, e una delle più grandi aziende energetiche al mondo, investe nella transizione verso il gas, riducendo la dipendenza dal greggio. Saudi Aramco è tra le aziende con la capitalizzazione di mercato più alta al mondo e produce circa il 10% del petrolio globale. Secondo Saudi Aramco la richiesta di gas naturale liquefatto (GNL) è prevista in aumento del 50% entro il 2030. Inoltre punta sul gas naturale perché il gas ha minore intensità di carbonio rispetto al petrolio e al carbone, quindi lo considera come un ponte verso un futuro a basse emissioni. Conclusioni:
-1- Quello che arriva dal Sudan è una bruttissima vicenda che nel 2025 fa molto pensare. Quando la democrazia fallisce o non riesce a formarsi, i conflitti possono essere devastanti.
-2- Secondo me Trump non sta riuscendo a compiere a pieno quello che pensava di fare. Questa vicenda dello shutdown è chiusa, ma secondo me ha mostrato che le cose non stanno andando molto bene per gli USA. Opinione personale.
-3- L’intelligenza artificiale generativa sta spopolando. Vedo che se ne parla anche nel mio ambiente di lavoro. Credo che si diffonderà come si diffuse internet, forse anche più velocemente.
-4- Questa notizia di Saudi Aramco che ora punta sul gas naturale mi fa pensare che l’industria, ovvero il motore del mondo, in futuro inquinerà un po’ meno.
