I was at the beach this afternoon, on Sunday.
I have only one word to describe the moment I spent on this beautiful Ocean side in the city, unforgettable.
When I left my residence, the sun was bright, and the condition in the sky did not change when I reached the beach. As soon as I set foot on the brown sand on the beach, I notice the warm welcome of the sun's heat under my feet.
It was not comfortable to walk the long distance in these conditions. My plan to walk 4 miles this morning may be cut short if the heat exceeds the expected temperature around 11 AM.
The water on the opposite side of the road is the only place on the beach where elements of nature fight to secure dominance. It was not the end of my plan for a photowalk at the beach.
I used to walk alongside the waves crashing on the ground, but I was worried. The humidity in the air is high enough to cause damage to my electronic devices. I don't want to lose my camera efficacy trying to capture exclusive photos on the wet soil on the less heated side of the beach.
The option to keep the camera in a plastic bag was valid until I had to use the lens to capture a moment at the beach.
It was not practical when the action is live, and nature just shows a beautiful configuration in the landscape that the photowalker can not miss.
I took the risk to succeed in my mission on this Sunday full of bright light.
On the way to my first spot to rest on the sand, the sun was behind me. After passing the third point of recovery, I realised that the sunlight moved from the back to the top position above my head.
It was so beautiful and troublesome for the quality of my photos, which were too bright after the adjustment and various settings.
I knew that I had clearly passed two-thirds of the distance I wanted to walk and sweat as much as possible.
The photos I took from the start to this stage of my exploration were great, so it should not be interesting to take many risks while photo walking for the rest of the walk.
I wish I could find an umbrella at this point because the heat seemed to have doubled in a matter of twenty minutes. I was finally on my way back to the entrance, but I still had to walk pass all the previous spots I stayed for ten ten-minute break.
On my way back, I was carrying less weight, considering all my reserves of drinkable water were consumed, and the biscuit I ate on the way up to this place was finished.
I am now rushing to reduce the distance between myself and the parking lot where I park my motorbike.
The temptation to rest under the shade of a palm tree at 1 PM under this extreme heat from the sun is so strong that I had to picture in my mind the image of a cool bottle of water in a freezer waiting at the destination to avoid this major mistake.
Under no circumstances should the walker on the hot sand at the beach rest under the palm tree if the target remains too far from his current position. The strength to continue the journey will surely leave the walker if he or she falls into this trap, lying there near the hot sand.
I made it back at around 2 PM. It was beautiful to see the view from the safe place under the shade of the structure where I park my motorcycle.
