Hello, GEMS community. It is a pleasure to share with you the first chapter of my new series, "Sábados de Reflexiones". In this space, I want to explore those small moments of everyday life that often go unnoticed, but that can teach us something valuable about ourselves. Today I invite you to reflect on the beauty of slowing down and rediscovering the simple pleasure of a morning without rush.

Hola, comunidad GEMS.

There is a particular moment that only happens on some Saturday mornings. We wake up, open our eyes, and for a few seconds our mind follows the same rhythm as the rest of the week. We think about the time, the things we have to do, the responsibilities waiting for us, and that invisible pressure that often accompanies our days.

Then, suddenly, we remember something simple: it is Saturday. There is no need to rush out of bed. There is no urgent schedule demanding our attention. We can stay a few more minutes listening to the silence, watching the light enter through the window, or simply enjoying the feeling of having time.

I think many of us have forgotten how to slow down. We live surrounded by constant movement. There are always messages to answer, tasks to complete, places to go and expectations to meet. Little by little, we have learned to associate being busy with being valuable, as if our worth depended on everything we manage to accomplish.

Because of this, resting can sometimes feel strange. A quiet morning without plans may even make us feel guilty. We might think we should be cleaning, organizing, learning something new or taking advantage of every minute. But perhaps we have misunderstood the meaning of time. Not every moment needs to produce something. Some moments exist simply to be lived.

A slow morning is not laziness. It is a small act of care. It is preparing a drink and enjoying it without looking at the clock, watering a plant while observing its new leaves, reading a few pages of a book, or sitting quietly while our thoughts find their own rhythm.

The modern world often tells us that we must move faster, but life also needs pauses. A pause allows us to notice details that usually disappear when we are always running: the sound of birds outside, the aroma of coffee, the warmth of sunlight or the simple pleasure of being present.

Perhaps the true luxury is not having more things or more hours. Perhaps the true luxury is having the ability to enjoy the moment we are already living. A slow Saturday morning reminds us that we do not always have to chase time. Sometimes we can simply walk beside it.

For me, these small moments are reminders that life is not only made of goals and achievements. It is also made of quiet mornings, simple pleasures and moments when we allow ourselves to breathe without feeling guilty.

What is one simple thing that helps you enjoy a slow morning?
