Pero hay un evento resaltante que deseo compartir hoy: El cumpleaños de mi esposo. Cada 27 de Enero lo celebramos, agradeciendo a Dios por cada año de su vida.
Pasamos un día muy bonito, le dije que eligiera un lugar para ir a comer y escogió un restaurant de hamburguesas llamado "Bungerz".
Sus hamburguesas son buenas y tienen la particularidad de que el pan es de batatas; por su consistencia, me parece que igual tiene harina de trigo, sin embargo, supongo que en menos cantidad que las demás.

But there is one noteworthy event that I want to share today: my husband's birthday. Every January 27, we celebrate, thanking God for each year of his life.
We had a very nice day. I told him to choose a place to eat, and he chose a hamburger restaurant called “Bungerz.”
Their hamburgers are good, and they are unique in that the buns are made from sweet potatoes. Based on their consistency, I think they still have wheat flour in them, but I suppose less than other buns.

Aún así, nos ha pasado en dos ocasiones que le han puesto salsa tártara y hemos tenido que pedir que la preparen nuevamente y ellos la cambian sin problema.
Son muy ricas, por eso nos gusta comer allí, aunque la semana pasada fuimos a otro lugar que nos recomendaron, que nos gustó más, pero es más costoso y trabaja sólo después de las 6 de la tarde.
Ordering hamburgers for my children is quite amusing because they only eat them with cheese and meat or chicken, no vegetables or sauces. So I have to emphasize to the person taking the order to make sure they don't put any of that on.
Even so, on two occasions they have added tartar sauce and we have had to ask them to make it again, which they do without any problem.
They are very tasty, which is why we like to eat there, although last week we went to another place that was recommended to us, which we liked better, but it is more expensive and only opens after 6 p.m.
Todos estábamos complacidos con esta salida, mi hija nos dijo: Papi, gracias por cumplir años y mami, gracias por la invitación a almorzar 😅.
Me sentía agradecida con Dios por permitirnos darnos ese gusto.
Luego mi hija quiso comer un helado en su heladería favorita y eso hicimos después, aunque al inicio yo no estaba muy convencida, porque me sentía satisfecha con la comida y porque pensé que era suficiente desarreglo alimenticio por ese día; pero tras su insistencia, acepté que comiéramos barquillas de una porción.
We were all pleased with this outing, and my daughter said to us: “Dad, thank you for your birthday, and Mom, thank you for inviting us to lunch.”
I felt grateful to God for allowing us to treat ourselves.
Then my daughter wanted to have ice cream at her favorite ice cream shop, and that's what we did next, although at first I wasn't very convinced because I was satisfied with the meal and thought we had eaten enough for one day. But after her insistence, I agreed that we would each have one scoop.
Todos en casa ama el chocolate, a mí me gusta, pero prefiero los helados de fresa, coco, torta suiza o ron con pasas. En esta ocasión, no había de ninguno de esos sabores, así que lo pedí de frutos rojos y estaba muy rico.
Luego fuimos a casa, peor mi hija y yo aún teníamos una misión pendiente: Comprar los ingredientes para preparar una marquesa con galletas y pudín, por lo que una vez en casa, nosotras dijimos que teníamos que salir. Obviamente, el cumpleañero sabía que no debía preguntar nada 😂.
Nos costó encontrar todo lo que necesitábamos, fuimos a 5 sitios diferentes, pero logramos nuestra misión.
Luego, mi dos hijos se encargaron de prepararle la torta de cumpleaños a su papá, que bendición.
Everyone at home loves chocolate, and I like it too, but I prefer strawberry, coconut, Swiss cake, or rum raisin ice cream. This time, none of those flavors were available, so I ordered red berry, and it was delicious.
Then we went home, but my daughter and I still had a mission to complete: to buy the ingredients to make a marquesa with cookies and pudding, so once we got home, we said we had to go out again. Obviously, the birthday boy knew not to ask any questions 😂.
It was hard to find everything we needed. We went to five different places, but we accomplished our mission.
Then, my two children took care of making their dad's birthday cake. What a blessing.

As expected, it turned out delicious. A cold cake is bound to be a hit and isn't difficult to make.
We rested for about an hour and then went to my mother-in-law's house, as it's a tradition for us to celebrate all birthdays there.
Sharing with family is priceless.
I enjoyed seeing my loved ones happy.
Y de esta manera tan bonita terminó nuestro día... estas cosas que parecen simples, son una lluvia d bendiciones en nuestras vidas y es hermoso poder valorarlas y disfrutarlas al máximo.
