‎Between City Lights and Quiet Trees: Discovering the Person I Truly Am ‎

in GEMS2 days ago

‎Hi Hive,

‎There are some days when I feel like I belong in the middle of a busy city. The noise, the movement, the bright lights at night, and the feeling that something is always happening around me can be exciting. Then there are other days when all I want is nothing but silence, fresh air, and the peaceful sound of nature. Sometimes I ask myself a simple question that am I more of an urban person or a nature person?

‎Honestly, I think I am somewhere in between both worlds.

‎Living around urban environments has its benefits. Cities are full of a lot of opportunities. Because there are better chances for work, business, education, and meeting different kinds of people. I enjoy the energy of city life because it keeps me motivated. Even as someone working in plumbing, being in an urban area exposes me to more jobs, more experience, and more connections. In the city, everything moves so quick, and sometimes that pressure shift my mindset and pushes me to work more harder and dream bigger.

‎Another thing I enjoy about urban life is convenience. Shops are closer by, transportation is easier, and entertainment is everywhere. You hardly feel isolated because there is always something to do or somewhere to go.

‎Though urban life also has its disadvantages too. The noise can become very exhausting. The traffic, stress, and constant competition sometimes make life feel heavy. There are times when I feel mentally tired without even knowing the reason why. Even peace can become difficult to find in crowded places. People are always rushing, and life can start to feel like a race that never ends.

‎That is why nature has a special place in my heart.

‎Because nature brings a kind of calm that cities can't give. Being around trees, open skies, cool breeze, and quiet surroundings makes me feel connected to myself again. Nature allows the mind to rest and it reminds me that life is not only about hustle and survival. Because sometimes, peace itself is success.

‎But still, nature has its own disadvantages too. Life in quiet environments can sometimes feel slow and boring. Opportunities may be limited, and isolation can become lonely after a while. Access to modern facilities, jobs, and fast development might not be available.

‎But if I had to choose, then I would say I am more of a nature person trapped in an urban lifestyle. I love the ambition and opportunities of the city, but deep down, I really value peace more than pressure. And maybe the perfect life is learning how to balance both worlds, chasing dreams in the city and while never losing the calmness that nature also brings to the soul.
