Indulging Myself Curating SpendHBD

in Proof of Brainyesterday

Recently, I stopped posting in favour of Hive curation. Partly because I believe in waiting until I've got something to write about before posting. But mostly because I'm lazy😴.

Now that has to change. So I'll start with a promise I made last week, when @meno (in No Heroes Coming: It’s On Us to Grow Hive) inspired me to…

Find whatever it is that you can do, and do that. If all you can do is help curate SpendHBD posts, guess what? That is already a lot more than most people do on this platform.

So with a little help from @ecency[1], I started to make SpendHBD curation be my first priority on Hive.

Hive #spendhbd Curation

I selected the tag for my curation feed. Rather than the SpendHBD community. Because I found it gives a slightly wider view of the project. So one of my first tasks each day is to curate new #spendhbd posts. And today, I got this:

Hive's #spendhbd Feed

For the sake of my screenshot, I was pleased that Chrome auto-translated the first post from Spanish[2]. And delighted by the post from Jair.Valdez.21:

There's nothing left to do but indulge yourself again!

It's inspiring for me to see that the simple act of supermarket shopping prompts comments like that. Especially when I see the cumulative effect of hundreds of comments in similar vein.

My greatest indulgence comes from those contributors who are doing more than shop. So I had a really lucky start today. As I read two such posts…

Empowered by SpendHBD

Learning the difference between decentralization and Blockchain technology through Hive workshop is from @jahmine. Who reminds us how SpendHBD offers hope to communities that goes beyond cheaper shopping.

Since I joined blogging platforms powered by blockchain technologies, it has widen my knowledge to the point I never imagined. When I look at myself creating and editing videos, I was like wow!! So I can learn all these things without paying money.

Then, Jahine continues to express how empowered he feels when learning on the blockchain. And teaching newfound skills to others in local workshops.

Communal SpendHBD

Happy Graduation Ceremony And 10th year Anniversary At My Son's School is from @marysylvia. Who takes us beyond workshops. Out into her wider community. Where she combines the celebration of her son's graduation with the communal opportunities presented by Hive…

Opportunity was given to one of us, a Hivean @calebmarvel24, the head of the Delta squad team known for its promotional activities, He talked about the Hive Blockchain and Spending the HBD on listed businesses at the ceremony because it was advertised on the school graduation brochure.

That post has special significance for me. Because I wanted to learn about crypto, as I feel it will be a significant part of my grandsons lives as they grow. And that led me to Hive. Now @marysylvia has shown me just how significant it is becoming for her young son today.

Your SpendHBD

You've seen how Hive is helping to improve lives through the SpendHBD program. Personally, I wish it was available in my locality. But I guess that's up to me. Though for now, I'll keep curating the #spendhdb posts as much as I can.

How about you?

I hope that you'll find time to enjoy reading MenO's inspiring words. Then you might find a way to join the Hive heroes.

Footnotes

.1 I spent some Ecency points on an upgrade boost. Which has given me enough HP to make my Voting Power a little less embarrassing. So thank you, @ecency, for that service. I'll post about my experience in more detail later. Including a surprising heads up from @hive-lu.

.2 Spanish-English translation of the first post. As I said, Chrome translated this automatically for me when I opened the page. But when it doesn't, I use Google Translate to get:

Spanish
no queda más que darse otro gusto! lo mejor de lo mejor

English

There's nothing left to do but indulge yourself again! The best of the best
