Coffee Snack and Dream

One morning, my 12-year-old son wanted to go to school. He asked me for pocket money. I said, “My son, just go to school I’m not giving you pocket money this morning.” He got angry and said, “Huh,” then rode his bike to school.
I took a deep breath, but there was nothing I could do.
I’ve been trying to make more sales of my products, but unfortunately, the results have been different from what I expected.

I watched my son ride away to school from the garage. In my mind, I asked myself, “What has happened to me?” I’ve done so many things, but change for a better life still feels far away.

Then I walked to the chicken coop next to my house. I have five laying hens that produce eggs every day. On average, I get about four eggs a day. My expense for chicken feed is around 15,000 IDR every five days. If I get four eggs a day for five days, that’s 20 eggs. With the price of each egg at 2,000 IDR, I will save 25,000 IDR in five days.
By collecting eggs from my own chickens, I also save money because I don’t need to buy eggs.
I’ve been thinking about raising 10 or 20 chickens, but I don’t have enough funds yet. I also need to build a new coop.
I took a sip of my coffee, enjoyed my snack, and continued dreaming.

I should be honest: being a street seller is not easy. It’s painful sometimes, especially because I don’t have a proper place to stay shaded from the sun. But I don’t want to give up.

My income is not stable. On the other hand, I have three children who are all in school. They need money for pocket expenses and tuition fees. Sometimes I feel lost, wondering how I can afford to support all of them. I’ve borrowed money from my relatives and sometimes from online lenders with high interest rates.

I paused and looked at my cup of coffee. I took a sip, enjoying the hot aroma and my snack. I started thinking about how to increase my livestock chickens. Why not? I should raise more chickens as a way to add a more stable, even if small, source of income. It’s possible for me to breed 20 chickens, but I can’t raise more because of limited space.

I should be honest , support from Hive will help me a lot. I hope I can earn high upvotes so that I can expand my chicken coop using my Hive earnings. Then it will become an inspiring story for other Hive users.

Thank you so much for your support and kindness. Your encouragement gives me hope to keep working toward a better life.

You need to pay off all the loans with very high interest rates. And keep only the interest-free loans (probably loans from relatives). How much money do you pay per month in interest on the loans?

Last month I paid 50 dollar for interest, next month I have to pay around 30 because I had paid the main loan around 40%.

$30 is a lot; your chickens only bring you a third of that monthly income. If you have three or five times as many chickens, all the profits from the chickens will go toward paying interest. The first step is to try to get rid of the debt.

That is true, the first thing I should pay all the debt then I can start to invest again in Hive for trading.

I think you're more likely to succeed in street trading than in private trading. Most people lose money in private trading. Hive has been falling in price for a while now.
