Between the aroma of coffee and the decisions that forge the soul

Today, as I sipped my cup of coffee in hand, my thoughts paused to reflect on those small but important decisions that have shaped my day and my entire life. Every sip of coffee, every pause and thought are faithful witnesses of a path we have decided to forge. Sundays, for me, have always been a time of reflection; in fact, they are my days of intimate encounter with myself and, above all, with God. It's the ideal time to slow down my hectic day and allow my soul to breathe deeply.

And today, I decided to accompany my special moment with coffee, especially, with some delicious and crunchy alfajores. It's a combination of the sweetness and warmth of the frothy coffee with milk. I honestly don't know if it's just my mood. What's really important is that while I savored them, my mind began to drift toward those thoughts that have been on my mind since the beginning of the year.

I asked myself, "What are you waiting for to make that change you've been longing for?" Despite the fact that this week has been fairly relaxed at work, we always feel a surge of emotions that pressure us, especially when you realize that people close to you have decided to leave this earthly world due to poor decisions or a lack of hope. These situations definitely confront me, and that's precisely when my questions begin.

That's exactly where my moments of nostalgia come in, when I think about my children, their future, and how important it is to leave firm footprints for them to walk on when we're gone. I can't let fear take over, and it's precisely there, between sips, that I realize how essential it is to stop postponing my projects—those I've wanted to start but haven't been able to consolidate.

Why have I ignored that deep calling of my heart? Because I continue to procrastinate my dreams, filling myself with empty excuses where I simply say it's not the perfect moment, without first understanding that we make the perfect moment with our actions, being intentional and taking advantage of every opportunity.

As the delicious aroma of coffee spread throughout the different spaces of my home, I couldn't help but think about each cup I've prepared and the decisions I've made behind it. It's important to always stop, be grateful, reflect, and think that we always have a better option. Coffee isn't just a beverage that warms my hands; it also helps me remember that there's still time to start over, that it's never too late to get back on track and return to my dreams.

That's why today, amidst the sweetness of the alfajores and the rich foam of the coffee, I've decided to stop complaining and understand that great transformations are born from the small silences, those active pauses where the soul decides to align with what truly matters. So, dear reader, remember that every decision, no matter how small, is a giant step toward a more conscious and loving future. So, dare to take those firm steps; a long road awaits you.
