Today I enjoyed a very pleasant moment at “El Encuentro, Arte y Café”, located at the entrance of the National Art Gallery of Caracas.
This little corner attracted me like a magnet, the first class attention from its friendly host made me feel at home and I could not just go on my way, but I decided to give myself a break and also a little treat.
It is a very cozy place, quite simple bohemian style, however, you can feel the care in serving with quality, not only in the products but also in the service.
A couple of small tables with small chairs welcome you to the consumption area, they are not the most comfortable but the place is so warm that this part is forgotten.
In addition, it is clear that they pay attention to detail. A beautiful spoon to serve the sugar adorns the moment.
The brand of coffee they use is from Boconó, Trujillo State, Venezuela, arabica species, called BOCA, very aromatic and delicious.
My little cup of coffee cost me only 1$, a great gift that the Universe gave me today after the chiropractor cracked my vertebrae.
I accompanied my beautiful and delicious coffee with some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, those chocolate chips got in my eyes and I could not despise them, I paid 2$ for them and they took my order in an elegant silver colored tray, which I could not photograph by the way, I was a little embarrassed with the barista and let him do his job without interrupting him.
When I see coffee served so beautifully I have a little trouble stirring it, so this time I gave the cookies a good taste first.
To accompany the coffee, if you want to go with it, they offer mostly cakes, I didn't see any salty sandwiches.
The cakes look good, especially the chocolate cake, my favorite, but this time I went for the cookies, I thought I would save them for later but the truth is that I finished them all on the spot.
There is also an armchair area for greater comfort.
Simple furnishings from years ago adorn the place, it reminded me of my mom's house when I was a child.
Sales of nice woven bags are displayed on mannequins that are also part of the stage.
These bags cost $15 and offer a variety to choose from.
Of course, you can't miss the variety of teas, which was what I initially thought of ordering to relax after my therapy session, but the aroma of coffee won out.
So now you know, if you want to have a good coffee one day in Caracas in a very cozy place, remember “El Encuentro, Arte y Café”.
I leave you some pictures I took while I was walking away, so you won't miss it.
