RE: «I remember when million was a million...»

I am not a PRO collector in any way!
Was collecting in my teens, and now - after a few decades on pause - decided to resume it. Or better say, start a new one. Already obtained 2 albums and buying stamps.

I d be glad to help, but please can you be more precise, what sort of help do you need?

I can point you to the Russian internet auction (the place where I watch and search for stamps) but I doubt you find it useful. It is better to by with domestic shipping rather than with international shipping attached - all due to the unbearable postage costs. They go crazy since 2000-es. ... 🙃

!BEER and !PIZZA for you.

Hello!
Oops, I am so sorry that I missed out on this one.
Nothing in specific, just that there have been couple of stamps in my collection that are probably considered to be rare or antique but I don't know any global platform to showcase them or get them evaluated for their real worth!

So, when I saw your post there was this little spark ignited to focus on my stamp collection.
And I am a coin collector as well.

but I don't know any global platform to showcase them

Hmm, well, eBay is considdered as such one.
you may create an account and put out your stamps there.
also, you may ckeck for the lots with similar / same stamps to see what is the price level.
But the bad thing is delivery / payment part.
Most buyers that use eBay have to pay with PayPal, as far as I remember, i.e. you will receive money for sold items to your PayPal account (again, you have to create such one). And generally speaking, PayPal is... quite a messy thing.

There are more specialized stamps auctions ofc. I use only one - meshok.net, it is Russian local auction, most of sellers and buyers that use it, thus rely on the RUssian postage service (i.e. it becomes a domestic postage service). Domestic postage service is significally cheaper than international / overseas postage -- which is importsnt. But still you can use it too, no problems, if the price level of your stamps significally higher than the postage tax.

That is all knowledhge I can share... 😉

Thank you so much for sharing that info.

Looking forward to, more, stamps related posts, from yourself. :)
