TRY TO BE SELFISH FOR ONCE.

Our hearts is the center of emotion, while the mind is the ability to act. Ever since I learnt this it has really helped.e to strike a balance when it comes to my mental health.

And today, the topic we have here says - MENTAL VS PHYSICAL. when we talk about the mental health I see it as the driver that drives the physical health. If one is not okay mentally, it will definitely affect the physical health. Our well been comes from inside. If we must be okay physically, then it needs to start from our mental health. Though it is said that we can't say one is more important than the other. But I believe that my mental health is very crucial so as to be sound physically. And that is the reason why I give priorities to my mind, which has to do with my mental health.

I am the kind of person that whenever something affect my mind it will show in my body immediately. I don't know about others. But for me is just like that. Most times my friends discovers when I am having having some challenges that has to do with my mind. Maybe something is troubling me. They will quickly notice and begin to ask me some questions to know what it is. Even when I try to hide it, they will still insist until when they get what the problem is. Once the problem is solved I will bounce back to that my always smiling person that I am.

WHAT ARE THE WAYS TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON BOTH WITHOUT LETTING EITHER SUFFER AS A RESULT?

Work when to work and rest when it needed.
In this our generation, people work from Sunday to Sunday. No day of rest. They hardly take time off to rest. We just want to make the money. We have lots of bills to pay: children's school fees. Hospital bills, house rent, food, clothes and what have you. Because of all of these responsibilities, we work tirelessly to meet up. Hmmm! Our mental health is as stake. That is the more reason why you hear of people slumping and dying everyday at home, in our work place and even on the road.

This is my own piece of advice.

  1. Work very well because the money is needed. But you must take time to rest so that you can refuel and have more strength to do more work.

  2. We also need to take time to eat good food. Sometimes you see people working so hard to make money and when they money comes we will not have the time to eat good food.

  3. Take time to go away from your environment. Sometimes when you go away from all the responsibilities around you, your mind will go off the problem for a while. But when you refuse to go away for awhile, then you will always be faced with the same problem over and over again. Such have a great negative effects to our mental health. Two weeks ago I traveled to my home town away from my family. I left all the problems behind me and left like I was running away. Thanks to God because I am back and stronger to face the family responsibilities again.

  4. Show yourself some love. Forget about those who don't show you love. Show yourself some love. Self care is not selfishness at all. Remember yourself that is all I am trying to say.
