Interesting ! Here in the UK enrollment is very high, but I suspect the quality of education isn't as good despite the best efforts of the teachers. They're hampered by political interference and a dumbed-down syllabus.
Although I appreciate I'm an outsider looking in I wonder if the low enrollment of girls in Nigeria, particularly in the North, could be helped with a bit of lateral thinking. If Nigerian children are the same as ones the world over, I bet that mobile phone ownership over the age of 12 is close to 100%, so perhaps education could be delivered by courses on mobile phone so the only time actual attendance would be necessary would be for exams (which would be to avoid it being just a way to get a certificate without the actual learning !)
