Hello Fellow Cats Hivians
Today I will try to bring my thought in different way. I want to share a thought about living in a healthy environment. This is a simple thought but I think because it is simple, some people do not realize that the definition might be vary from one individuals to others.
When we area talking about environmental, it can be something related with personal as physicals body or it can be something about mental health issue. Not only on individual case, it can be for a group of people such as companies or organizations. And it can be about something abstractive and intangible, such as relationship. Yes we can talk about relationship health.
Well honestly I have no specific mind about talking which environmental health in this post, so I think better that I talk in general environmental health which is the place where we are or we have been right now. However I will try to get a narrow more specific here, it is not the earthy environmental, but more on the space we are, like our home, our office room or maybe our bedroom.
So let start the topic here by talking where we live or we work at, as our environmental. The healthy environmental does not mean that we have to get them "GREENER" with more plants. We must put them all clean and refresh, yes that's true and a solid answer, but what is clean and refreshing anyway in better defined wordings...
In my opionion, a healthy environment is a natural system which can support human activity and some desired of living beings to coexist. Those coexistence should be sustainable.
I talk about desired living beings, because I am being very realistic here, cockroach, spiders, mouse and some other animals might not being desired in your home. Things will be different if we talk about a garden environment or some forest ecosystem.
So let's back to our focus here, it is on where we live or we work. A healthy environment will start with having a clean air and water. Clean air or good air quality will support your respiratory and give you pleasant feeling. For me this is the very basic thing you can detect instantly whether a place is healthy or not. So having a good air conditioner and air purifier could instantly give a healthy feeling.
and talking about water... I know this is debatable, because most people will think that cleanness is the most important one, but for me water is more important. Having an accessible water for general purpose and some good drinking water are essential. You can clean your place, you can tidy a messy room, but if no water, you won't feel comfortable in long run and it would not be a good healthy place to be for longer period.
The third is what I have said above, it should be clean and waste free. Waste free which means that if there is a garbage can or bin, it should not stay there for long time. there are waste or garbage management or control. About clean, it should be done regularly. I don't need to stay more about this, I think people already have some general ideas about what is being clean.
The last one is a human friendly properties. It can be a chair, bed, table, and many things. Those property should not only be ergonomic but they are supposed to be safe for human who use or being near of them. So no sharp and deadly edges, slippery floors, and many more.
So in then, I think we all should participate creating a healthy environment for ourselves first, human, not to other beings. The place where we live or work should be healthy which means it is not only about aesthetics or cleanliness. Our space should be able to support support our well-being in a sustainable and realistic way.
When we get a healthy environment, we should maintain them regularly so we can thrive there, not only just live and survive. That's My 2 Cent For Today. Thanks for your visit here, feel free to leave any input and feedback below. They will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for coming and reading my post. I live in Jakarta, Ex-Capital City of Indonesia. Currently I am running a small business with 6 people. I used to live by making money online, that's why I like being here, on HIVE, and in #PIMP - (Paper In My Pocket) community.
