Regarding someone amazed with the cats domination pictures I have employed in some of my post, so I would like to welcome you to my another gato article here, the world domination saga from the cats LoL. This time the cats get so advanced and they start to do science fiction stuff, building their robotic armies.
Ok, now we talk about robot or robotic stuffs...
To be honest, I can not see robots as a science fiction stuff anymore. I believe they are already here, implemented in some part of our daily life. And as you can see in some movies, robots have started replacing the role that we, human, used to do.
Let starts from our work, the first time people start implementing robotic technology is in our manufacturing industry. Heavy automatic production machinery is one of the first phase how human develop robot. So robots are not only something that looks or represent humanoid function.
However the role of robots are not only limited to machinery, which are full of physical works and repetitive. It has developed into various traits, such as details and fast response. Robots now implemented in medical sector, where the time sensitive, and detail are heavily important. Nowadays robots are used to assist in surgeries because doctor and medical practitioner needs precision in surgery.
People used robots or heavy automated machinery in some works such as mining and deep sea exploration. The reason is very simple, those are places where human can't be safely operate there.
Let's not see things that far from us only, there are many things near ourselves right now that are related with robots. AI or Artificial Intelligent is part of robots too, in form of software. In some homes, people already use robotic assistants in cleaning and even companionship, particularly for the children elderly.
That vacuum cleaner or floor cleaner is a robot too. Sorry it is not like I am promoting Xiaomi products here, but it is one of the simple thing I can tell people that... hey you have robots in your house!
REPLACING OR IMPROVINIG?
In term of productivity, human are meant to lose against Robot. They are very consistent, having perfect precision compared to human in works, and they do not get fatigue. Efficiency and effectivity are way above human level. This will lead to lower cost, higher quality, and less defect in the final products, whether it is a good or service.
So it is natural that some people will grow a fear feeling towards robots, because sooner or later robots will replace human works. Those who lose jobs to robots, they will have less value in society. Again, we do not have to see something further in future, we can see what in front of us, in our daily life... how many automated machinery have replaced human works? From car wash, automatic teller machine, parking ticket, and many more...
So those talks about robots taking over human jobs is not something that a myth or baseless fear.
Instead of fearing robots, we should get some robots for ourselves. Because the essence why human develops robots is not to kill themselves, or make themselves obsolete. Human develops robots to help their life, make their life, our life, a lot more easier.
If you get some robots to work for you, you will get some more time for yourself. Robot will take care all the boring and repetitive works that you should not waste too many times on those. Robots will take care some hard and risky works for you, let say mowing your lawn and guarding your house.
Those extra time you get because robots take care those for you, you can use it with your family or your beloved one. Or let say you will have more quality me time.
As a human, we should strive to move forward, developing then embracing the technology we have created. Make use properly on Robots, because by using them wisely, we can make our our life easier so we can focus on things that truly matter.
Face the future, embrace it, and walk alongside your robots to enjoy a better life... make your life more meaningful!
