If you're considering or affected by a cousin marriage, consult a genetic counselor early—they can tailor tests based on family history. Public health campaigns in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan emphasize education to shift attitudes, with over 80% of youth now supporting screening despite cultural norms.
One of my sister and her husband did all sorts of tests before marriage. While I am not sure about others. I support blood tests before cousin marriages. If it's 3rd in a row (1st cousins) then they shouldn't even marry according to me but that's my opinion based on scientific findings till today.
You may not believe but on a smaller scale, changes started happening and couples r doing all sorts of blood tests before marriages. As long as science is concerned, it's based on genes and blood compatible with each other.

I liked your humor in cleanplanet burning plastic comment. I also appreciate good humor if it's done for the sake of fun. We should enjoy life and in most cases, I will ignore even a troll if he is having fun. But next time, if possible, please don't disturb a newbie with such a salty comment. Either u are a Muslim or not, she is not a non Muslim for crafting, music or whatever other reason. In Islam, it's very different than what u might assumed about Islam. Please make hive welcoming for newbies and I was unaware of @sana-alam before I checked your comment.
Good luck to your freedom of speech on hive!
