Dear Hive Friend and Hive Learner Members,
Made with Gemini
I do not thing if their is someone on this planet who do not loves the holidays. Do not metter if you are a kid, adult or a working professional, everyone is looking forward to have holiday at least once in a year. Working professional are more desperate I guess then the kids and teenagers. Just have a look at the faces of working professional when the weekend is approaching, the smiling face of every one tells the story clearly. Today's life style is tactic and people has less time for their selves in daily routine, if you think closely then you will find out that their their are many activities you want to do but you are unable to do as you feel their is shortage of time. We can plan so many activities of we get some spare days at weekend. In my current company we had six day a week working but in my previous company we had five days a week working culture. You can imagine my situation and condition. Fortunately form part two years the policy has been chnages in my current company also and now we have alternate Saturday also weekly off. One day extra even an alternative weeks is also a big relief to be honest. I can plan some short tours or even staying at home and chilling is also a good option. I eagerly waiting for my alternate Saturday off to be honest. It give more joy when a public holiday also combined with those two weekly off days.
When I was kid we use to have holidays twice a year, one in summer and second in winter. The summer holidays were longer then the winter holidays and we use to visit my grandparents during those holidays. Holiday without family and friends was completely waste. All my cusions were also come to my grand parents home and thsi was not less then a family function, you can imagine the fun we have during those days. Those were old golden days, but now when I am a working professional I do. Ot have such long holiday and I missed them a lot. The situation is worst as you may get a call from customer on weekends. I usual avoid working on weekend as I want some time with my self and with my family too. Afterall the holidays and weekend are for chilling and relaxing.
If Iook at our holiday calander then I can find that their will be two or three months in a year when we do not have any public holiday. In India we do not have a public holiday which last for a week like Christmas holidays but we have intermediate holiday through out the year. We are in the month of September and it's start of festival season. And this festival season will continue till new year. So every alternate week we have a festival to celebrate and most of the festival have declared holiday. The only thing I do not love about the holidays is the fatigue we have after the festival celebration. Festival means their will be set of activity and ritual we have to perform and most of the day we spend in same. Before festival also we spend some time for preperations so I love the idea of we have one day extra holiday after the main festival day. This will be a big relief the other option is taking personal leave. We have sufficient leaves which we can avail though out the leave some of them get accumulated every year if not availed and some of has the validity till the year end. So it's always better to use the leaves before their expiry.
No doubt we all love holidays and want more holidays in a year but the other special is that we do not value the things we have in excess. It's human nature that we do not her satisfied very easily and we always want more. What will happens to the economy of country of their working people will be on holiday more then the working days. This will surely create a negative effect on economic of company and country ultimately. To take bread and butter on our table we have to work and their is no other way around. Balancing is a key and their should be balanced between working and holiday ratio also.
