Thank you for some insight inside your social and cultural expectations and practices around gifting precious metals. Gold and silver has many roles that practically rings consistent in most traditions as well as financial ones.
I have been studying Chinese culture around precious metals lately, it's a part of my heritage that I did not take seriously.

Yeah but nowadays according to golf prices i think no one can go to jwellar shops to buy gold and i see that giving gold on wedding trend also lost here.... Now a few people follow old tradition to give gold to their daughters....

The whole budget of wedding is equal to the only budget of buying gold especially for groom's side who doesn't prepare any dowry
