What if humans could create how their babies come out?
The truth is, if this were possible, it would have its advantages as well as its disadvantages. It wouldn't just come with the disadvantage of people excessively taking advantage of such power.
It was on Sunday last week that I got to know that the newly born "caricature" baby I had been seeing on my FYP is the baby of someone I know very well. The photos and videos of the baby always get thousands of likes and reactions. Meanwhile, the parents, especially the father, aren't into content creation on social media. He just decided to find peace through making posts on social media about their caricature baby, despite people's reactions, and he has been getting that from those photos and videos.

The captions on the videos and photos are always written in a cheerful tone, but I know that if he had his way, he wouldn't have wanted his first child to be born as a caricature. No one wants a situation like that. No one wants to be constantly visiting the hospital to 'fine-shape' a child after birth. Everyone wishes they could describe how they want their babies to be, and when they're born, they come out exactly as they were described and wished for.
For me, I don't wish to find myself in such an unfortunate situation of having a 'funny-looking' baby. Whether we like it or not, every parent who has an autistic child would probably wish they had never had a child like that. They wish they had the power to describe how they wanted their children to be before birth.
So, this is the good side of such a possibility. If humans had the power to create how their children looked before birth, there would be no inferiority in the world as we have it today. Everyone would be perfect in their own appearance, and there would be no room for body shaming.
But then, if this were possible, there would also be a lot of trouble because humans would definitely overuse the opportunity.
Just like in this era, if a man is asked to describe how he wants his ideal woman to look, he would probably start with descriptions that focus only on the "front and back" and not care much about whether the other parts are okay or not. That's exactly how humans would design their babies if they had the power to do so. Some would design their babies to be born very slim with the intention of making sure they don't become chubby in the future, since many people prefer a fit and slim appearance over a chubby one.
As funny and awkward as it stands, a lot of people, both the blacks would not want their babies to be created with black skin. They would want their babies to be white so as to escape the racial abuse that comes with being a black. With this, the diverse and beauty in complexion will no longer exist.
