I always love to write reader in my bio of every social media platforms, although on hive too i write myself as a reader and a book lover because since my childhood I've a long connection with the books but my taste change with the time.
Books i read in my childhood!!!
Actually my dad put a seed in me of reading books, he's a teacher and he usually bought some books for me but when i was a child he bought some fairytale books of some faires and cartoons and although our native language is urdu but i still remember he brings English fairytale books for me.
And I can't understand the English at that time and he always translate these books for me. Sometimes he buy a book of English with urdu translation. From there i start to love to reading books. As it becomes my habit with time.
That part of my life was hilarious when I was in college and I've to learn my college lesson too and I've less time for other books, my dad advised me to not read too much books and spend time with my course books which I've to learn and pass out the exam but i start to read books by not informing anyone. Like it's my secret mission just like I'm committed any crime lol.
Sometimes he point me out with books and he only said that focus on your studies these books will remain here and you've your own life to read them.
A beautiful era of university!!!
I spent four years in university and most of time i spent in library. Every student can issue a Library card and use it to get books on certain time period. I issued a card too and every weekend i issue a book from library and then read it at weekend and enjoy the weekend.
Most students can't complete a card within four years but i completed two cards like there's a criteria that each card has a space of 100 books and i crossed it too and i had a great interaction with librarian too.
I was a zoology student in university but in library i oftenly issue historical books like one day our librarian asked to me, are you a student of history and i said no I'm a science student.
For now my reading habit!!!
Now i don't have any Library card, i often think to create a card for myself for my ease but then i skip it. For now if i get from market, i see a good book in market i buy it and read it and then give that book to others to read if any of my friend or family member love to read it.
But now with time and mostly due to availability i read less books because I've to buy physical book and you know when it comes to buy we think about it lol.
