From 'devil made me do it' to 'society made me do it', humans have not changed much. It is way easy to say that I am like this because of this and list is in infinite. Why? Of course, the man's urge to blame everyone, everything, just not oneself. The surge in climate change is real and clearly visible; however, no one is willing to play a role in it. There are around eight billion beautiful people in this world, and not one-eighth of it is willing to start the change oneself. But yes, when it comes to play the 'blame game', we all are a champ. It takes a lot of courage to accept one's own mistake, and those who did are the exceptions. Reason? As you said they take the responsibility of their action, their judgement, their profit or loss.
Furthermore, the internet is full of motivational quotes with independent growth, still those are mere words without any such actions. Time has changed a lot, now it is easier to start with a laptop or even with a phone, the freelancing platform has made things easier. But, the courage to start doing and stop blaming, literally everything, is missing or far-gone. As in Pakistan, no one is ready to follow basic traffic rules, but we all have the guts to say 'Ghareeb Mar gaya (oh the poor)'. Indeed, 90 percent of our lives are the by-product of our decisions and not only circumstances.
In the end, a Chinese (or maybe someone else's) proverb goes by, "He who blames others has a long way to go. He who blames himself is halfway there. He who blames no one has arrived." Just a little change and we: as a nation, as a human, as a living being can achieve hell a lot of things. Let's start today, and be the first change.
