RE: Mental health isn't a joke

I cannot say much about the general world, but for Pakistan, we are so far behind in dealing with this serious threat. Plus, I cannot recall the exact same figure, but there is only 0.25 (or somethin close to this) psychiatrist is available for a wholesome of 100,000 people. This says a lot about our dealing with such a serious threat.

Moving forward, this is not just a rich or poor distinction. The concept is same for all. We have numerous examples - such as CSS officer Bilal Pasha and one officer from ICP - of suicides, even by high officials. Moreover, the biggest problem is: the traditional approach. As you have mentioned, if someone says I am depressed. No one will ever take it serious. Even parents - the one who love us the most - will have their own funny reasoning behind it.

Hamara Zamana m to aisa na hota tha :)

And next is this culture of Peer/Shah Sahib/Baba log. Rather than going for the medical, scientifically proven sources; this herd of a nation still believes in myths.

Mental health concerns are taken as a comedy show here. Private schools, in my opinion, are the worst place to look for.

Sorry to say, we, as a nation, are rooted to chores.
