I agree with you. This carrying forward the hate of the past should stop with us moving forward. The amount of hate circulating because people still hold on to the past is deafening. The past happened and we're here because, somehow, they settled it. But as events unfold, it's clear that somewhere along the way, some were unsatisfied and took it upon themselves to carry forward that hate. If only we all acknowledged that despite all our differences, past and present, we all have one thing in common, we all own only one life, and when it ceases to exist, so do we. Maybe, then, we would be mindful of living a meaningful life and we'd care less about vengeance based on history.
