Hi Hive,
I have been more intentional about keeping my broiler chickens healthy lately, and not just by relying on drugs, but by going natural. One routine I have started is going organic for my broiler. Today I decided to use blend of aloe vera, scent leaf, and bitter leaf extract, since there are very effective, natural and those plants contain antioxidants and antimicrobial properties. And it's simple, affordable, and honestly, I have seen positive changes in my birds.

Cleanliness is very important to me before anything when raising broiler chickens. I always make sure to properly wash my chickens’ drinkers. I don’t just rinse them but I clean them well to avoid any contamination. And the same goes for the leaves. I take my time to wash the aloe vera, scent leaf, and bitter leaf thoroughly to remove dirt and any unwanted particles as well.
I move to preparation once everything is clean. To avoid stress of pounding those leaves which can stressful for me, so I use an electric blender to grind all the leaves together. I like this method since it helps me get a smooth and well-mixed extract.

After done with blending, I sieve the mixture to separate the liquid from the chaff. And what I’m after is that rich green liquid extract packed with nutrients. Then I add more clean water to dilute the extract so that it will be suitable for the chickens to drink.

Now, let’s talk about why I use these particular plants.
Aloe vera is one of natural antibiotic and it is known for its antibacterial and immune-boosting properties. It helps my broilers fight against infections and improves their overall health. I have noticed they seem more active and less prone to common illnesses.
Scent leaf is another powerful addition and also a natural antibiotic. It contains a natural antimicrobial properties and helps in controlling bacteria in the birds’ system. It also supports digestion, which is very important for fast-growing broilers.
Bitter leaf, just like the name implies, is a very strong and natural antibiotic which helps in fighting parasites and boosting appetite in broiler chickens. It helps to cleanse the system of the birds and keeps their gut healthy. Healthy gut, healthy chicken and that’s my own belief.

I have seen improvements in their growth and general well-being since I started this routine. They look active, stronger, eat better, and I don't have anything to worry and right now.
It’s not just about raising chickens for me, but it's about raising them right. And this natural and organic method is one step I’m proud to be taking. It works well and save cost as well.
