Very true phones are certainly controlling people i had to drop some logs off at a local pub yesterday and had to walk through their eating area and saw a group of 5 people all on their phones not talking to each other while eating.

Was very sad i thought to myself, personally i would ask people to put their phones away if i was in that group.
