Two of the known risk factors for cancer are obesity and being overweight! That means, the amount of fat in the body has an effect on developing different kinds of cancers (at least 12 obesity-related cancers have been identified already)!

Besides the amount of fat, new research showed that the location of fat also has a role in developing some kinds of cancers. For example, it is seen that abdominal fat (belly fat) increases the risk of endometrial cancer, esophageal cancer, and liver cancer.
