Happy Chooseday π remember to always choose happy β¨ Be happy, right here, right now, and not maybe in another world. π Last Friday, I shared with the @alive.chat challenge a song that was just released by EJAe. She's the singing voice of Rumi in KPop Demon Hunters. Her back story is one that truly inspires. Prior to the launch of the movie, she was enjoying the quiet life of a songwriter, pretty much unknown to the general public. Little did I know that she actually trained for a decade to be a KPop idol, but failed to debut in a girl group. It was an emotional story that makes her cry when brought up during her interviews. Anyway, encouraged by the love and support she received after the movie blew up to be the cultural phenomenon of 2025, EJae finally released her very first single. This time around she's singing not as an animated character but as herself.
I'll share the official MV again here, just so you'll have an idea what I'm talking about. It's a simple song yet hauntingly moving, esp. as EJae sings in such a powerful voice. I'm not gonna lie but it made me cry (every time I listen to it). A good cry I'd say. I'm not gonna wonder why, but I'm going to speculate it has a lot to do with a lot of what ifs in my own life. I'm usually too caught up during the weekdays that I hardly have time to stop and reflect on deeper thoughts. I'm quite thankful I got to do a little of that last Sunday. Listening to the song helps me come to terms with a lot of the losses I've had these past few years. No, I'm not totally over them, but at least, I've come to realize I can be hopeful.. thinking that maybe in another world none of the losses ever happened and that all my what ifs are resolved till none are left. π

Wow I'll use the power of my imagination to picture this in my mind. Plus, there are the many lovely photos that Hivers share of the autumn in their areas. I can imagine just how lovely it looks and feels. πβ€οΈπ‘ perhaps one day I can experience autumn in person. Inshallah!
I haven't forgotten my steps. I do make it a point to reach at least 4K steps daily. I consider this my training so that I can eventually hit a minimum of 5K daily steps soon.
I'm going to be real that moving a lot hurts. However, I still try my best as that's the best option for me. Staying idle would not help me at all. Plus, I can only count on myself for running the household on a daily basis.
I got a surprise visit from my cousin Maggie yesterday. It's an annual thing and she brought me some candles and snacks. π Treats are always a welcome surprise. π
