It's back to work for some folks. That used to be my norm too. Since last year, our office gets a few days off for the holidays. ๐ Yay?! I don't know. I'm glad to get a few days of break, but given my current situation, I don't get to go anywhere or spend time with Mom since she's gone, and my daughter's in Barcelona anyway. For this year, I've sort of plotted a list of things to do for each of the day of my vacation.
On my first day of break, I decided to do some repotting and rearranging in my tiny garden. I've been dreaming of having an indoor garden too. I've started with the back area already. It's still a work in progress as I'm mostly still experimenting. ๐
Found a way to have over 5K steps yesterday. Today I went out to order a new pair of reading glasses since the one I bought last April at the mall was a huge mistake. I was too happy to get really clear lenses, but the frame broke after a month, and the shop where I got it had lousy after sales service. ๐ This vacation is my only time available so I went back to my original optical shop. I will get it next week. ๐ You could say I had quite a walking adventure today too as I visited a few other establishments. Glad I survived the day. ๐

Awww I'd say Christmas is mostly for the young ones. ๐ I got too old to feel the excitement of it all. That's just being honest. Over the years I've become more of the grinch. I usually refrain from doing too much shopping during this season, and I stay away from malls. ๐ I guess what I do not enjoy is the commercialism of the season. Looking deeply, the season brings some form of joy and hope. A part of me will cling on to that idea. 'Tis also the season that's best for reflective thoughts. ๐โค๏ธ๐กMay 2026 bring better days ahead.
Five days left in 2025. Yep, a new year is coming soon. I'm definitely praying for a better year ahead.
