Heya all, I'm back ๐ I've seen lunar new year photos in my area. Oh boy, the crowd was huge indeed ๐ฎ Am I glad I just stayed home ๐ Peace and quiet is way better as far as I'm concerned.
I decided to slice the nian gao I got and cooked only enough for snacks. Here I dipped the pieces in one egg. It is believed that the nian gao represents hopes for growth, success, improved income while the sticky texture signifies strong family unity. Pretty ironic, don't you think? 'Coz my daughter and I are living separately from each other. ๐
I decided to pan fry the pieces dipped in egg. Last year I attempted cooking it in the air fryer. It was easier cooking wise, although the cleaning up was way difficult. ๐ I've got more pieces I can cook next time around.
My daily steps are not that much but I do my best to reach my daily target of 5K minimum. ๐ I'd admit it's a struggle esp. on regular days. I guess what matters is I do my best. ๐

I chose this quote from last week, as I believe it's more interesting to talk about. Most students do not like studying history. I guess this is one reason most do not learn from the mistakes of the past ๐ I'd say that's pretty costly. I find history fascinating, but I wish we could learn more, esp. about the ancient past. I watched the first season of Ancient Apocalypse and really enjoyed it. Honestly, for me, it's not impossible that there was a previous advanced civilization or even more that got wiped out. Maybe our current one would someday head there too. ๐
Nine days to go.. countdown begins again.. ๐ Yeah, February is the shortest month indeed!
