Yes, the transaction and DDOS attacks on the Hive-Engine nodes was the first round, and now it's beginning on the Hive nodes as well, which aside from completely messing up our payout scripts, it's also causing frontends not to load data, like posts. You got it, Kenny, I always do my best to keep people informed about what's happening.
I haven't looked down the transaction lists again, but I didn't notice either of the two of yours that I know. Since the script runs alphabetically, due to the account looping, it only got into the first few letters before all the HIVE was exhausted. I appreciate that, my friend, and if I notice it, I'll let you know. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Good, I'm glad, and you're very welcome! I appreciate that, my friend, and I feel the same way. The script worked today, but Bjorn in his exhaustion forgot to change the amount sent out each day, so it still had the testing setting from last night when it ran today, which means that it sent out all 15 HIVE in one go, instead of spreading it out over the week. I messaged Bjorn, and amazingly he saw my message around 3AM and fixed it. He also sent yet another 16 HIVE to replace what was incorrectly sent out, so everyone got a HIVE bonanza again today, and we are good to go for the rest of the week now, thankfully. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Two people have already offered to send the extra HIVE back, and one already did so. Thankfully Bjorn was able to get everything working correctly again, after a complete script rewrite, and sacrificing a lot of HIVE to testing and replacing the lost HIVE.

It's (much) less worse for payments to be missed compared to payments being unintentionally repeated, as it is easy to simply make the script catch up with the missed payments anytime, but it is not possible to make the script (or any human or AI) take back what it already sent (on an immutable blockchain which is Hive in this case). 🤯🤓
Yep, indeed, that's very true. I sure wish the previous version of the script simply missed the payouts, rather than draining almost our entire balance of HIVE. That's why I keep our surplus HIVE on another account now, which thankfully also makes running the numbers quicker and easier too. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
