Trying to get a job at the age of 48

In my country, being 48 years old makes it difficult for job seekers to be marketable. There are too many younger competitors, which is why I find it hard to get a job. Eventually, I started a small business just to survive, but it has not been a good idea.

However, I am still trying to find a job in my country at an older age. It is uncommon for a 48-year-old man to compete with 23-year-old job seekers. Finding a job is not easy today, as the available vacancies do not align with the skills and expectations of new job seekers.

Besides that, the salary will be my next problem if it does not meet the needs of my family expenses and school fees for my children.

In my desperation, I keep sending application letters, hoping for a miracle. I wish a company would call me, accept my application, and offer me the position I desire. What do you think? Is 48 years old considered too old to get a job in your country?

nope, it's not the job competition that is hard, but there aren't enough job opportunities out there. I started my own small company too, and from the last year our business was far from decent. We are hardly able to pay people on time and on budget too, but luckily all of us who are in this company understand the whole economy condition.
