Alive and Thriving Thursday, "Extremely low tides in the Channel"!

in We Are Alive Tribe β€’ 3 days ago

Hello friends!
Happy #aliveandthriving Thursday evening to you!
βœ¨πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈβœ¨
And, Thank You so much for your visit!
I wanted to take a ride over to the Park this afternoon, so I jumped on the bike and took a ride over there. Well... It was actually a bit chilly! With the Wind blowing out of the North and water to the East it was actually "Cold"! And yeah, I know it was warm for most places - but pretty cool for here.
In any case that is why I did not stay long. But while I was there I did get a few photos of an interesting phenomenon. The tides are extremely low!
This is a look South along the Shoreline,

Even the areas that were Sandbars yesterday are beach today!

Here it is a good 100 feet of beach that is normal under water,

This is a look towards Mustang Island, and it looks pretty much the same,

And finally, a look at and under the Fishing Pier. Instead of the Pilings standing in water - they are standing in sand...

I am thinking this must have something to do with the Moon Phase, as there is no Storms in the Gulf - which is normally when you see extremely low tides here.
And that was my #aliveandthriving Thursday!
I want to thank you again for your visit and I am Wishing you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe End of the Week!

How interesting what you say.
It's fascinating how natural phenomena, such as low tides, can completely transform the landscape in such a short time.
The photos you took perfectly capture those changes.
And yes, it probably has to do with the moon phase, as it usually influences the tides a lot.
Hopefully the weather will improve over there so you can enjoy more time outdoors next time.
