Alive and Thriving Tuesday! A flock of Herons and a Seagull!

So friends, for this evening I wanted to share a few photos of the #aliveandthriving Herons and a Seagull that I got lucky enough to photograph yesterday.

I was driving over to the old house along the Shoreline and I looked to the right - I normally look left to the water. And when I did I saw that a flock of Herons had stopped and took a break across from the Shoreline, a definitely lucky opportunity for me. Only problem is where they are, you are really not allowed, so I took photos from the truck as close as possible.
This is when I first noticed them,

Yes there are really quite a few! This is another photo of how spread out they are,

And this is over to the left. I tried enlarging the photos, but the birds are too far away.

A little later in the day I was over at the Park and this Seagull came by,

I decided to track it as I was at least getting some somewhat clear photos. Here it headed out over the water,

And here,

And then it flew in an arc,

And then veered left towards the Fishing Pier,

And got up in the air to look around,

And "dived"!

And caught "something" here,

Unfortunately I did not get it taking off again, luckily I got the beginning. But pretty interesting to see them on the hunt!
And that was it!
