This evenings #aliveandthriving post is about a bike trip I made today on my new bike I call "Brutus" :β -β )!
I am still sorting it out, I have had it a week and as of today have 28 miles / 45.06 kilometers on it. If your thinking about something like this, try it - you won't be disappointed!
So... First stop The Park where I saw some people out in the Channel fishing,
And the tide was low, but the water was clear!
There was only a few people out on the Fishing Pier,
The guy walking on the Pier towards me stirred up the Blackbirds,
And they went everywhere!
I figured the weather was nice I should ride down the Channel, first time on this bike and I wanted to see what the one trail next to the highway felt like on the bike. On the way I saw these Morning Glories still blooming in mid December,
I caught this lone Pelican swimming in circles, probably Coraling bait fish,
Here is the J.F.K. Causeway from below - heading towards Pita Island, then Padre Island,
This is a view across this side of the Channel towards the Causeway, the tide is very low and the birds are gathering on Sandbars,
And, all of a sudden this Pelican came out of nowhere!
And finally a look at the Southside shore from under the Causeway,
After that I rode home! And it was fun!
I am loving the new bike more than I thought, I am "so very happy" my first choice was "not in stock, anywhere"! :β -β )
And that was this #aliveandthriving Thursday!
