Changing style and decade for this week with Helicopter released in the mid-00s by Bloc Party. Main reason is we just saw them live this week end, and that song's been stuck in my head since then! Often, songs that get stuck in my head are not exactly something I like, and it's annoying but in this case I don't mind at all! It's faster than most Bloc Party songs, and I just enjoy the energy. I discovered by chance Bloc Party maybe 15 years ago when researching the bands playing at a festival we were going, I liked it but somehow completely forgot about them, until of course recently before the Detroit show. Anyways, the punkish/garage vibe of the band and especially this song sounds pretty cool to me. Below is the HD version of the video. Interestingly it has barely 80k views in almost 5 years, while the original badly pixelated version got over 37M views (pretty good for a somewhat indie band).
