Hello hello hello dearly beloved friends in the hive community. It's really been a while since my last appearance here on Hive community. It wasn't intentional at all as I was having a serious hectic time running around for my father-in-law's burial ceremony.
In Nigeria where I come from and where I am currently, burial ceremonies are taken very seriously as tradition demands.
Series of meetings take place among family members,"ekpuk"(meaning collective heads of deceased family).
My husband being the firstborn made the whole preparation very hectic on me as the wife.
The D Day finally came on Saturday 17th May, 2025(last week Saturday) and I can now breath an air of great relief from stress.
That's my humble self preparing the jollof rice for the entertainment of my guest. I couldn't believe I could make it come out this nice and delicious 😋. You needed to taste it friends 🤣.
My very fresh and spicy pepper used for all the meals prepared during the ceremony.
Several other pictures of the event I should have posted here were not to be as I barely had time to snap due to my very busy schedule of attending to guest and my kids couldn't be relied upon as they themselves were carried away with the fun activities in the village.
