Saturday is a weekend day that play host to different activities such as resting, picnicking, weddings, house opening, farming, sporting working and of course burial among other things as the list gives on. Among these list, burial seems to be one people would not like to mention, but the truth is, it is a reality every living person faced.
Today's weekend has been a sorrow one for me and my Christian folks as we commit to mother's earth in the Uyo Cementary a dear Christian sister who passed away on 24th February, 2026 to the cold hands of death.
Like the sentiment expressed in Hosea 13:14b, I ask, "where are your sting O death?" We take solace from the promise found in the words of the prophet Hosea 13:14a - "From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them."
We look forward to the time when those words will become a reality and we see our dear love ones welcome back to life again!
