It is another beautiful day to be here on this amazing platform to share a little story but yet motivational. It's just a little story about myself, a little financial struggle I'm going through lately.
There was a night that I keep starring at my phone while expecting something to happen but nothing came out of the blues and that's where the frustration keep growing. No money, no messages and no alert and the phone just paused in silence.
Being a young man in Nigeria with different responsibilities lies on your shoulders and this reminds me of everything I don't have. The expense calling, the bills waiting and dreams feel like they are slipping away already as those days really broke me, I won't lie.
Everyday, waking up each morning felt like stepping into a battle I am losing despite the fact that I tried everything I could think of. Sometimes I earned little and earn nothing sometimes. But the most worst part is watching other people succeed while I'm struggling.
I sometimes wonder and asked myself what am I really doing wrong because I came across people sharing testimonies and seeing people celebrating their wins while scrolling through social media. It sometimes get to a point where I almost gave up when things are not going my way anymore.
What if this is not meant for me is the one hard question is I remember asking myself and that question stayed in my head for some days, even though there was another voice deep down. A silent one, not too loud, not forceful but yet stubborn that said I should keep going.
As much as I thought about it, I don't have a big reason, no motivation everyday and sometimes what I had is only a little hope. But despite that, I never stop, I kept trying, learning and keep trying again even while failing and something began to change.
Though changes doesn't happen overnight, but it happen slowly. A little win came in even though it's not something massive but I see it as a progress which is enough to remind me that I wasn't just wasting my time but enough to prove that I was getting closer.
Though I haven't reach where I really wanted but I'm still chasing my goals and figuring things out but I don't quit and that's certain and that makes all the difference.
