I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Many of you have probably heard a lot of talk about VSC as of late, or noticed the VSC integration into the PeakD wallet. VSC (Virtual Smart Chain), which is another, more sophisticated iteration of a layer-2 network, just recently launched its mainnet, giving people the option to deposit and stake their HIVE and HBD within VSC (via PeakD), to both support the network, and to earn rewards. This initial implementation (which is undergoing intense testing, with much bug-fixing) is just the tiniest glimmer of what will be possible with VSC soon. It's poised to take Hive's layer 2 to a whole new level!
The more I've been diving into the details of VSC, on the website and in the documentation, the more excited I become. Why am I so excited? Because VSC will offer "feeless value transfer via native asset mapping within VSC", allowing people to transfer native assets between pretty much any blockchain and wallet, seamlessly. Do you understand how huge that is? The only fees are incurred when depositing assets into, or withdrawing them from VSC. Transfers within VSC, and between wallets (no matter the blockchain with which it is associated), incur no fees.
When this incredible layer-2 technology is fully up and running, it will be possible to send, say BTC directly to an ETH wallet, or visa-versa, via native asset mapping, and that will be true for just about any crtocurrency, regardless of the blockchain. You won't need to know someone's cryptographic address or even what chain he or she is using to send them assets via VSC, since it makes use of Hive's human-readable names, routing funds seamlessly between wallets and blockchains, and in native form. Holy wow!
And guess what! There will be liquidity pools for all supported blockchains, with HBD always being one asset in the token pair (pairing one stable asset with a volatile one), where liquidity providers (I prefer The Pool Master...lol!) will be able to add liquidity to pools like HBD:BTC, HBD:ETH, etc, and earn pool fees from the AMMs (Automated Market Makers) as assets are automatically swapped. There will be the possibility of earning some sort of bonus liquidity rewards as well. This will open up a whole new area for my pool play!
Everything will be handled at the protocol level, with ZKPs (Zero-Knowledge Proofs), and no centralized bridges or intermediaries, using CSC's internal asset-mapping-powered accounting system and wallet-layer abstraction. This is going to be the DEX (Decentralized Exchange*) to rule them all! Off-Chain swap tokens on Hive Engine are great, and they serve their purpose, but with first LeoDex, and now VSC coming into the picture, my dream of interconnected and interoperable decentralized multi-blockchain super-network is coming together before my eyes 👀. Glorious to the max!
Yesterday, Wednesday, I left the Flow House, after wrapping up my Hive tasks, a little after 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao) in the Landing, and a little sunning on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn, before going to help Ano to finish tying the support strings on the sides of the new tarp over Woodstock, and to help him collect cow food. Once that was done, I headed to the Landing to make myself some food (spiced-and-seasoned mini beef patties, pepperjack cheese, and mixed mustards), and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, I returned to the Flow House to get into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I was able go get through a chunk of them in the morning again, which made it possible for me to finish up with them by around 9:30PM, at which point I wrote and published My Entry for Shadow Hunters Community Contest/Show Me a Shadow: Round 377 - Tropical Vibe Shadows, I did some asset management, and then I finally went to bed around 11:45PM. I woke up about 7:30AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more asset management, getting out of bed just after 8AM to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, and then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 1PM, so quite a good time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving Flow House a bit later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for these posts, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's expression of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
