I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
One small bit of advice that I'd offer to newcomers is not to get discouraged by where you are now regarding your various assets, even if it's at zero, because Hive is a compounding interest and exponential growth machine, and if you focus your investments correctly, very small amounts can grow into very large amounts quite quickly. Added to that is the fact that it is so incredibly easy to acquire assets on Hive, from a multitude of sources, so even starting from zero is not difficult. That's exactly what I did, and it's what allowed me to grow my account substantially in my time here, even aside from and before any outside investments. Start where you are, work with the resources that you have available, and leverage hard.
As we go about our time interacting and engaging on Hive, we all receive a rain of assorted token into our wallets, from tips, curation rewards, winning contests, among many other possible ways, and many of these tokens can be invested and leveraged in particular ways to generate greater benefit, like staking, staking and delegating, or adding to diesel/liquidity pools, to name a few. Hive offers a plethora of diverse ways to leverage the assets that we have to accelerate our growth, we just need to be aware of them.
I'd suggest a more even and broad-spectrum approach across all the Hive investment domains, over narrow hyper focus. Hive Power and HBD in Savings are always important, so definitely don't neglect them, but get into diesel/liquidity pools, delegating layer-2 tokens, among other layer-2 investments, to get assets compounding and growing as soon as possible, as well. Ideally, no assets should be left idle, as that represents potential income lost. That's why getting familiar with the tokens in our wallets, and the different ways to use, invest, and leverage them, is so important.
Compounding interest and exponential growth are magical things, and they're your allies, so make sure to use them well. That's why I'm so judicious about making sure that I'm using as close to all available assets as possible. I do my best not to let things sit around for long, collecting dust.
Your success on Hive truly is in your hands, and no goal is too big, but you have to really want it, and give the focused effort to make it happen. Start now, work with what you have, understand the Ecosystem, and do your best. I'm always here to help when needed, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
Yesterday, Thursday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, a little before 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, straining and blending kefir (the second-to-last batch fermented in raw whole cow milk), and collecting coconut meat and water, to then blend with raw honey, to ferment another round of kefir. When I had those done, I got some tools, and I went to clear some more around young trees in and around the cow pasture. When I was finished with that, I made my way back to the other side of the property, to take a shower, make myself some food (spiced and seasoned ground beef, eggs, onions, tomatoes, Amaranth leaves, pepperjack cheese, and sea salt) in the Landing, and then with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, to head back to the Flow House to gently jump into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I was able to get everything done by around 9:45PM, and after some asset management, checking in on Blurt, and scanning my X feed, I went to bed just before 12AM. I woke up fairly late, a bit after 8AM, having slept fairly well, doing more asset management, getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, and then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 1:30PM, so quite a good time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's iteration of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
