I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
The coming of VSC (Virtual Smart Chain) is very exciting and much anticipated, though it also bring up a particular dilemma for me, since so much of VSC functioning is based on HBD. Up until now all my HBD has been deposited into Savings, since I'm determined to grow my HBD in Savings as much, and as quickly, as I possibly can. That's a bit of a problem.
To perform transactions on VSC, we need Resource Credits, and keeping sufficient liquid HBD (at least 1 HBD) in the wallets that we intend to use is how we generate that. On top of that, and much more significantly, when diesel/liquidity pools are implemented in VSC, they will all have HBD as a one of the asset pair, which will be a huge sink for my incoming liquid HBD. I'm seriously going to need a whole lot more HBD. Even depositing every bit of liquid HBD that I receive to add to the soon-to-be pools will not be enough by a long shot.
HBD has always been one of Hive's most valuable assets, and with VSC coming onto the scene, it's going to become extremely coveted indeed. That's great for HBD and the Hive Ecosystem, but it makes things quite challenging for asset-leveraging investors like me, especially when we have HBD in Savings as a primary goal and focus.
It's quickly becoming obvious to me that I'm going to have to come up with a new way to manage HBD, as I really do want at least a portion of my incoming liquid HBD to continue going into Savings, but out of necessity, to prepare for VSC, I'm going to need to start diverting some of that incoming HBD into VSC as well. With my present HBD income, this will not be a quick process, I can tell you that right now.
As with any major change to the Hive Ecosystem, I'll always adapt, improvise, find a way, and flow with this one as easefully as I'm able. VSC is a very positive change for Hive to be sure, but because it is so incredible and revolutionary, and offers many new investment opportunities, it also presents some huge challenges of choice for investors.
Yesterday, Sunday, I left the Flow House, after finishing my Hive tasks, just before 2PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts. Once I had that finished to my satisfaction, sunbathed on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn for a short while. Chelsea joined me sunbathing for a bit, before as started with our task at hand. I worked with Chelsea for a while to clear around the last mamaki tree on the property, growing just behind the Flow House. We got a good amount done, more than I expected, which is excellent, as that poor mamaki definitely needed a little help. I also helped Chelsea collect some mamaki leaves for tea, which is very beneficial for the body. After we finished that up there, I took a shower, laid on the trampoline again to dry off in the sun, then I went for a very enjoyable walk down our jungle road, in the late afternoon sun, taking photos as I went. When I returned to GaiaYoga, I stopped by the Landing to collect some leftover food, and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee, and with those in hand(s), I headed back to the Flow House, to begin my evening round of Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I was able to get through everything by a little after 9:30PM, and after some asset management, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed just a bit after 12AM. I woke up quite late, just after 8AM, having slept reasonably well, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, returning to the Flow House to write and publish My 165th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update: Diving into VSC, Solid Growth All Around, and Deeper into the Pools! - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Sunday, July 27, 2025, and then beginning immediately on this post (while in the midst of technical issues). It's now just after 1:30PM, so it's a very good time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's edition of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
